Understanding how IT consulting companies create processes around strategy and IT security.
Over the years we’ve had discussions about our Managed IT Services program with customers of all sizes and types. At the same time, we’ve competed against other IT consulting companies of all shapes and sizes. There have been many times that our support platform is perfect for a client, and sometimes our program doesn’t line up with the client’s expectations. It seems there are many Philadelphia Managed Service Providers with various abilities, specialties and offerings. We’ve also found that customers across our region have different expectations, needs and budgets.
The bottom line is that organizations looking for IT support should consider a vendor that can guard against possible intruders, while assist in planning and strategizing for future changes in technology. Most providers all use the same technology and generally do a great job at Help Desk Support; however, we’ve found that most don’t have the processes and diligence to handle the important aspects of the job: ensuring IT security and network stability.
Over the next few postings I’ll detail some of our experiences that come from years of meeting with customers about their IT outsourcing needs. My goal is to share thoughts on how to select a provider that will help take care of your employees’ technology concerns, while implementing strategies around network security and technology advancement.
